ITC Choupal Sagar

This photo was taken along NH3, about 7km ahead of Mhow. Choupal Saagar is a rural mall. We were glad to stop by on our return trip from Maheshwar. They had a food court attached, open from 9am to 9pm. The three of us were pleasantly surprised to get South Indian food, idlis, vadas and dosas. More importantly, the sambhar and chutney tasted close to any decent place back home. Yes, we were impressed. Imagine the joy of tasting good food, miles away from the city. There are about 6000 Choupal Saagars and more in the pipeline. Now we know a place to stop any time for good dosasChoupal Utthappam. But, there is more in these places. It consists of a lot of stuff to shop around, mostly ITC branded stuff like its notebooks, its food products and its apparel. It brings an urban feel to rural shopping. You could choose your music as you shop. We picked up a football. Mobiles, TVs, CDs from Music World and a lot of items, all the more surprising. The shoppers come from Indore, about 27km away and Mhow. A shopping expedition, so to say!

    its good to see Choupal Saagar pics in your site..any way i introduce myself..i was the store manager choupal saagar mhow when u had clicked this photo.
    its not only a rural mall but its a opurtunity provided to rural people to come a step forward and stand with urban india…here we provide lot of facilities to the villagers like health services supprorted by appolo pharmacy, insurance services by new india insurance, soil testing lab, procourment of produces, a high class resturant and a retail store which can feed all kind of requirements…cloths, grocery, consumer durables, household, stationary, mobile phones, shoes, bikes, tractors, agri inputs and lot…

    I had visited ITC -chaupal saagar at Ratlam.
    its good to see Choupal Saagar , It’s have very good infrastructure & designed inside. it provide quality of goods for farmers in rular area.

    Hi, I also visited Choupal Sagar situated few kilometers before Dewas, MP. I never felt that I am in some rural area, its on the main road, has a gas station adjacent to it and stocks everything possible which we can find in any supermarket in the main cities. Moreover, I would congratulate ITC for such a commendable job and foraying into the uncharted territories like rural retailing!..hats off to them. Even I am working on a project titled Retail Marketing and Media, I am a journalism student and rural retailing is one of my chapters. It was nice visiting Choupal Sagar.
